The Malaysian Intellectual Property Office (MyIPO) has implemented a Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for a period of 2 years, i.e. from 18 January 2025 to 18 January 2027.
With this implementation, Malaysia’s PPH Program has expanded to include partnerships with SIX (6) foreign patent offices listed below, through pilot or fully implemented programs:
- Japan Patent Office (JPO)
- European Patent Office (EPO)
- China Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)
- Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO)
- United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS)
We further highlight that the MyIPO-CNIPA PPH pilot program has been extended for an additional five years, effective from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2027.
